Magnetix

After the roaring success of our themed parties of late, we
thought we’d really push the boat out for our summer party
and give you all a chance to really stretch your imagination
and an excuse to raid those fancy dress stores! Bring your
chains, gold teeth and of course your hoes boys and girls,
because it’s the Magnetix Pimps and Hoe’s Party on Friday
30th July, and it’s going to be blinging!

Our first DJ Above, head of the Diablo Traxx
Collective/Recordings. One of the busiest guys on the scene is
no stranger to rocking venues both in the UK and
internationally, so we’re very happy that we have managed to
secure his services, and we are sure you’ll all agree!

Matt Church is no stranger to the 414 having been involved
with parties and events there for well over half a decade. Now
commanding some serious respect in the Trance scene with his
Red Sky Digital label which has seen support from the biggest
names you can think of and a whole lot more, we’re happy to
have this star in the making grace the decks to show us what
he’s all about,

Our next guest is the brains behind the DHF brand
Candyman01. Luca has been about for a little over a year now
and has achieved a lot in this time, including taking DHF to
Hidden in Vauxhall and having some amazing parties, and
playing all across the country on the way. We think there’s
lots more from him to come so we’re very happy to be able to
give him his Club 414 debut.

Finally we have Shift-E, a DJ who is well known in Brighton and
London areas from running the Insurgence (and more recently)
Rebellion parties. Able to mix harder trance beats on 3 decks
whilst effortlessly scratching, the talent of this guy knows no
bounds and again, we’re glad that we are able to present
another DJ making his Club 414 debut!

But of course no Magnetix would be complete without our trio
of residents, Phil Lankester, Dean Zone, Timmy Whiz and
Lorenzo Barrero, and don’t forget you can download loads of
mixes from our past events for free from our website,
www.magnetixuk.com!

Magnetix Residents Party

Fresh from 2009 with 5 storming events under our belts including a sell out Birthday Boat Party, Magnetix continues to ride a wave of success. We enter into our first event of 2010 aiming to remind our growing base of supporters what we’re all about: showcasing the very best talent from all corners of the trance world, appealing across the wide spectrum of Uplifting, Psy, Tech and Hard trance beats for the one purpose of throwing a fat party and seeking open minded music lovers to join us on Friday 29th January @ Club 414, for a celebration of laser thrashing, mind bending, foot stomping music. Ladies and Gentlemen, this is Magnetix…

Jon The Baptist
Returning to join the Magnetix team for his only London residency, JTB brings with him another year’s experience of being one of the country’s top artists who is leading the charge in the snowballing European hard trance scene here in the UK. Having a plethora of his own productions under his belt to entertain a trance-hungry Magnetix crowd, Jon will show why his status in the trance scene is firmly set as he enters 2010 in full swing with an exclusive b2b set with young protégé DJ The Corbz!

Phil Lankester
You saw him here first, our very own legend in the making Phil Lankester (AKA Libra 9). After a storming year where he’s gained a further residency for Halcyon @ Matter there’s no stopping him as he prepares once again ready to unleash his fierce uplifting psy sounds onto an eager dancefloor. 2010 holds big things for Phil, so bring your best dancing shoes and hold on tight!

Dean Zone
Our in-house, mega womping, foot-stomping Euro trance maestro Dean Zone has been busy in the studio in 2009, cementing his place as a leading forerunner in the emerging UK scene. With his recent release ‘My Dreams’ signed to Electrik Shandy, he’s carving himself a sure and steady path to success as a DJ/Producer. We have every faith in Dean as his career grows stronger and his name gets out there. Put a womp on it!

Andy Forse
When Andy Forse won the Best Up-and-coming DJ trophy in last year’s HarderFaster Awards, some heathens had never heard of Magnetix’s secret psychedelic weapon. Yet slowly but surely he’s been working his way up the London dance music echelons and over 2009 he’s played for HOMmega @Matter, Party Proactive, Planet Angel, Psy-n-Tific, A.L.A.N., Freedom, Chemistry and most recently Rock’n’Rave at the Fridge. We know he keeps his best sets for his Magnetix residency and we can’t wait!

Timmy Whiz
Our ever-faithful one-man party and resident Timmy Whiz will be bringing us his take on UK hard trance. With flair behind the decks and the brightest yellow trousers you’ll ever be exposed to, Timmy exudes his passion for banging dance music from every pore in his body — seriously not to be missed!

Kevsta
Another constant in the UK hard dance scene, Kevsta is our reliable resident of ruin and rampage. He’s been around the scene long enough to learn the hard uplifting sounds you like but not long enough to get to jaded by them, as his regular sets at Refresh illustrate. He’ll be leading the party into the early hours and beyond: make sure you’re near the front!

Lorenzo ‘Tequila’ Barerro
Like a vintage liquor whose taste gets finer year on year, Lorenzo has relentlessly demonstrated an enviable consistency and never fails to bring home some of the best trance from the past and present. Once resident of Sunday hard dance institution Byte, he has certainly mellowed over the years and now favours the more euphoric sounds that make him an integral part of the Magnetix journey.

Barry Harding
Magnetix hard trance resident Barry’s moto is “Live the life you love, love the life you live” and you can feel it in his driving tune selection. Resident of Hook’d, huJe and Hectic, Harding has been hammering out the anthems long enough to know what the Magnetix faithful come to the alter of the 414 to praise. Hallelujeh for Mr Harding!

Neil Moore
A new recruit to the Magnetix camp, after pinning us down with one simply awesome demo we just had to bring this lad aboard and set him and his outrageously uplifting blend of psychedelic trance loose on the not-so-general public. His clubbing roots lie in Planet Angel and if his creativity and enthusiasm affect the dancefloor like it inspired us, then were sure you’ll be seeing this face again in the near future.

The Magnetix Promise:

Please note, we here at Magnetix are not content with just turning up, putting up set times, switching on the decks and playing some music. Oh no, it is our mission to give you, the clubber, a much more personal clubbing experience.
On the night we will be decking out Club 414 to the max. Expect psychedelic décor, vinyl give aways, free mix cd’s courtesy of our special residents for the first 50 people through the door, free Glow bands and lots more.
Couple that with the best chill out room of any club in London, dedicated club Photographers, a roof terrace for the smokers and of course, the legendary 414 café (what other club in London can you get a Cheese Toasty from?) and you’d be mad to miss out! We are also doing our best to support new talent and push new DJs. With a strictly any type of Trance music policy, we are always open to receiving demos. Just hand your demo in at the door when you arrive. All demos will be listened to by a member of the team and you will receive feedback.

And don’t forget, you can download live sets from every previous Magnetix event for FREE from our site, www.magnetixuk.com.

Magnetix Beach Party

With the exploits of our May event still fresh in the mind and with what looks set to be a fantastic summer ahead of us, we thought we’d waste no time in tell you all about our next party, the Magnetix Beach Party!

For this very special event we’re going to go all out to turn Club 414 into as much of a beach as possible to create that unique Magnetix vibe. With our second to none décor and up for it crowd we think this will be a night to remember, so much so that anyone wearing beachy attire will get £8 entry to the
club all night (no Speedos though please gents!)

Headling is Chris & Matt Kidd, two super hot DJ/Producer brothers from York who quite literally have the world at their feet. After tasting lots of early production success they have gone on to establish themselves as one of the UK’s fastest rising acts. Recently the pair have been signed to John Askews
“Discover” label which will further catapult their already impressive careers into the stratosphere. Seemingly ignored by London promoters for reasons unknown, we are very proud to be able to bring them down for their London debut!

DiabloTraxx Collective member Rob OTT is our next guest. Famed for their live PA’s which have taken them around the globe with Rob as their driving force, he has worked with just about everyone worth mentioning in the scene and commands respect wherever he goes, and with productions coming out of
his studio literally every week, we’re glad to have Rob show us what he is all about.

Taking our guest slot for some mouth-watering, feet stomping, twisted psychedelic craziness is Mif, the multi-talented DJ/producer and label manager of Mutagen Records. He’ll joining us fresh off the plane from Poland’s Common Festival, and having recently collaborated with some of the scene’s leading figures such as Sinewave and Sutekh, it’ll be clear why Mif is having no trouble establishing himself and his label on the international psy trance circuit.

Last but by no means least we have 2 of the finest talents to ever emerge from Wales in SHOCK:FORCE. Consisting of acclaimed producer Sully and DJ Matt Thomas, SHOCK:FORCE have taken the Hard Trance scene by storm in less than a year, with remixes of classics such as Jetlag and Expander taking their productions over the airwaves of Radio 1 as tracks signed to Dave Joy’s Joyride imprint, it’s fair to say that these two are making the right noises and moving in the right direction as we welcome them for only their second London set!

Of course no Magnetix would be the same without our fantastic residents Phil Lankester AKA Libra 9, Dean Zone, Andy Forse, Timmy Whiz, Kevster, Lorenzo “Tequila” Barrero and Barry Harding!

As per usual we’ll have 50 copies of the latest Magnetix Promo CD, with Vol. 7 this time being mixed by our very own Dean Zone. And remember, if you missed out on any of Volumes 1 – 6 then you can download them all, along with lots of live sets from the previous Magnetix events from our website, www.magnetixuk.com!

Magnetix

As the days start getting longer, the mercury rises out of the minus degrees for seemingly the first time in ages and the fact that it doesn’t seem to be raining 24/7 can mean only one thing. It’s Spring, and nearly time for another fantastic Magnetix party!

With the events of our fantastic January party still fresh in our minds, we’d like to thank everyone who contributed and partied with us! And in case you missed it, as usual we took the liberty of recording the entire event, which can be exclusively downloaded or streamed from our brand spanking new website – www.magnetitux.com.

But enough of the past and on to the future, and we’re very proud to bring you all the info for our next event:

Magnetix @ Club 414 – Fri 29th May 09

One name that is sure to stir up excitement amongst psytrance lovers, producers, and DJ’s alike; all of whom eagerly anticipate his every release or live performance, is SINEWAVE. Currently riding high in the psychedelic scene here and abroad, his live act signed to Mutagen Records and releases on high profile labels such as Geomagnetic and Neurobiotic, he has been carving a reputation as one of the scenes most promising talents; whipping up a frenzy at The Waveform Festival, Wonky Disco and a host of big parties. SINEWAVE will be sure to bring his unique blend of heart throbbing basslines fused with hypnotic psychedelia, and leave Magnetix in a state of furore.

Not content with bringing the live talents of Sinewave down, we’ve also enlisted the help of Beyond/Excessive Pressure head honcho and all round rising Trance star Steve Allen, who will also be making his Magnetix debut. If being involved in the creation of 4 labels so far in his relatively short career is not enough, this mans productions have the backing of just about every superstar DJ there is in Trance. And when his tunes aren’t getting rinsed by the likes of Tiesto and Armin, he’s busy playing on the same bill as the Paul van Dyk’s too! But don’t take our word for it, check them out here: http://www.trackitdown.net/search/keyword?q=Steve+Allen&searchButton.x=0&searchButton.y=0

We’re also proud to present one of the recent winners from the Hard Dance Awards: Nick the Kid. After rightfully home the Regional Hero award, Nick has continued his relentless charge on the scene, with recent single “Enigma” charting in just about every download store worth mentioning as well as Radio 1 airplay, this is certainly one Kid to look out for in the future, and another making his 414 and Magnetix debut!

Finally we have Kito, our last guest for the evening. Kito has been rocking the underground scene with a multitude of parties such as Carnage, Oneness and Tribal Dance at the Medussa club for a while now. Kito is also no stranger to the 414, holding a residency at Spin as well as Fridge based Colours. A very versatile DJ who could easily fill any timeslot and still fit in with our strict music policy meant he was always going to feature for us at some point, the only question was when!

Backing up our strongest line up to date is the ever ready Magnetix residents, Phil Lankester aka Libra 9, Dean Zone and Andy Forse.

As per usual we’ll have 50 copies of the latest Magnetix Promo CD, with Vol. 6 this time being mixed by our very own Andy Forse. And remember, if you missed out on any of Volumes 1 – 5 then you can download them all, along with lots of live sets from the previous Magnetix events from our website, www.magnetixuk.com!

And for those of you who don’t want to go home come 06:00, the FREE Magnetix After Party will be running till very late, with Macloud, Kevster, Timmy Whiz and Lorenzo Barrero!

Magnetix

Birthdays are always a tricky time when they come along. Arranging secret birthday parties, rushing around buying cards and presents as well as making sure your friends actually turn up can make it a nightmare at the best of times! But here at Magnetix (in case you haven’t noticed yet) we like be a bit different, and we like to think that we go that extra mile too! So even though it’s our birthday, we have some presents for you! These come in the form of LIVE downloadable DJ mixes, recorded from all the DJs at our superb May party.
So if you missed it then you can listen in on what you missed, or if you were there you can relive it all over again; we have, many, many times!
Where can you download these we hear you cry? Where else but our website, www.magnetixuk.com. Once there, direct your browser to the Mixes section, where you’ll find not only the live recordings from all the DJs at the May event, but also a selection of previous mixes from the Magnetix residents!

However, thankfully for this birthday party, you don’t have to worry about any of that present malarkey. All you have to worry about is how long you’re going to stay, and how many friends you are going to bring with you! Indeed, we don’t want birthday presents, cards or even sweets. Oh no, all we want is lots of party people to help us celebrate our first birthday in style on Friday 29th August @ Club 414. And to help you do just that, we have brought a few friends with us…

Our main act for the night is a name synonymous with quality Trance/Hard Trance the world over. Responsible for 3 critically acclaimed, chart topping artist albums and with a fourth well on the way, we can only be talking about the legendary K90! As the man who has produced for more anthems and classics than you can shake a stick at as well as being the driving force behind the groundbreaking Dataless Records, we really can’t think of anyone else we would rather have to help us celebrate our first birthday. K90 has also generously agreed to record an exclusive mix for us, which will only be available as a limited edition CD to the first 50 people through the door. But if you just cant wait until then you can hear some clips of his new album and of what to expect from him on the night here www.myspace.com/k90music!

Along with K90, we are also bringing back two DJs who are very well known to the Magnetix faithful.

Firstly we have Jon the Baptist, a man who has achieved a near God like status in his native South West, as well as managing to find the time to juggle not only a hectic DJ schedule which has taken him all over the country, but also to keep on producing some of the finest hard trance sounds which can be found on some of the biggest and best labels both on these shores as well as all over Europe.

Joining Jon is another regular Magnetix guest, Jurrane. The trance maestro has been a busy beaver in the studio of late with production partner Sly One, with recent remix work just out on Conspiracy and Future State Records respectively, as well as keeping up the DJ appearances with recent gigs for the likes of Planet Angel and Parallel amongst others.

Our last guest is none other than up and coming DJ Mat Lock. Part of the crew of promoters and DJs whom without there just simply would be no Magnetix, Mat Lock will be taking over the 2 hour warm up slot for his last set before he embarks on a year long sabbatical around the world. Let’s make sure we send him off in style!

As usual, no Magnetix would be quite right without the trio of residents! After leaving everyone at the last event gagging for more with a thunderous last set, Dean Zone returns, and he promises to bring his imitable Euro sound and flair with him.
Phil Lankester, widely regarded amongst many as one of the most underrated DJs in the London scene, will be showcasing his newly found Ableton skills under his new guise, Libra 9. Expect his trademark full on party Psy Trance, just even more mashed up than before!
And lets not forget Ashley James. If you were lucky enough to get your hands on a copy of his Magnetix Vol. 3 mix then thank your lucky stars, as we have been literally swamped with emails requesting more of the same. If you weren’t lucky enough to get your hands on one of the 50 copies we had on the night then never fear, you can also find this on our website, www.magnetixuk.com, available to download or steam.

And for those of you who don’t want to go home come 06:00, the Magnetix after party will be running from 06:30 till late, with DJs Andy Forse, Lorenzo Barrero, Kevster, Timmy Whiz and Farhada!

Please note, we here at Magnetix are not content with just turning up, putting up set times, switching on the decks and playing some music. Oh no. It is our mission to give you, the clubber, a much more personal clubbing experience.
On the night we will be decking out Club 414 to the max.
Expect psychedelic décor, vinyl give aways, free mix cds courtesy of our special guest K90 for the first 50 people through the door, free glow sticks and bands, free tickets to other events and lots more.
